The 2025 ISPE China Annual Conference — hosted by the Shanghai Representative Office of the International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering, or ISPE — will be held in Shanghai's Pudong New Area on May 26-27.

Global industry leaders will gather there to discuss cutting-edge topics and future developments in the field.

The conference will feature nine forum sections covering areas such as digitization and artificial intelligence, biopharmaceuticals, and cell and gene therapy.

It will also cover chemical pharmaceuticals, engineering design, project management, production engineering, compliance with regulations, pharmaceutical supply chains and innovation investment — showcasing the latest trends in the pharma industry.

The ISPE, a US-headquartered non-profit organization, focuses on advancing technological innovation and standards throughout the pharmaceutical lifecycle, enjoying significant global influence.

In March this year, the ISPE Shanghai obtained a representative office registration certificate issued by the Administrative Office of Overseas NGOs of the Shanghai Municipal Bureau of Public Security, and then settled in Pudong.

This marked the official arrival of the ISPE in the country, opening a new chapter in in-depth exchanges and cooperation between China and the international pharmaceutical engineering field.

The ISPE Shanghai aims to promote alignment of the Chinese pharmaceutical industry with international standards — facilitating technical exchanges, talent development and project collaborations in pharmaceutical engineering.
